一、口语考试注意事项:

  1. 内容的准确性最重要,最重要的是完成试题要求的内容,所以安排时间很重要,平时训练时一定要自己看好时间,调整语速,不管怎样要在规定时间内把要求的内容都覆盖到。
  2. Integrated Task中除了第五部分,所有其他部分不要加个人的观点。
  3. 如果搞不清楚说话人的身份或名字,一律称之为speaker。
  4. 一定要避免复述,不要把听到看到的东西原封不动的搬来,换个句式或近义词,诸如the girl said: … / the professor said: …,尽量避免(实在没听懂除外,总比什么都不说强)。

二、口语考试各部分题型分析:

(一) Independent Task — Free Choice:

1. 概述:

要求考试者在45秒钟之内根据自己的经验讲述一些问题。这些问题可能是有关你自己,你的家庭,你的国家以及一些类似的话题。

例如:Describe your country’s national anthem or your country’s national flag. Explain how it is used in modern society. Include details and examples.

45 seconds to speak

2. Develop your idea:

80% content+20%comment

一些话题:

(1) Place:

如 Restaurant:① food — diversity 多样性 ② service — well-rounded ③ location ④ atmosphere — live music ⑤ variety 多样性(主营业务以外) ⑥ history ⑦ reputation ⑧ price — reasonable / bargan / not expensive at all(注意:不要说cheap(贬义),affortable(暗指昂贵))

(2) Event:

① setting / environment ② feature ③ history ④ influence ⑤ persons

(3) Person:

① appearance ② character ③ achievement / reputation ④ anecdote 轶事 ⑤ influence

一些表达:

freckle 雀斑 / pinpore 青春豆 / double chin 双下巴(胖) / pointed chin 尖下巴(瘦) / pointed nose

manly 有男子气概 / man-like 男人婆 / faminive 有女性气质 / sissy (形容男人)像女人一样 / girly topics 女性话题

形容Apprearance:

女:good-looking / pretty / be in good shape 身材好 / slender / slim and slender / skinny 骨瘦如柴的 / hot (注意:beautiful (极端形容词)天仙般的美丽 / thin 瘦到病态)

男:good-looking / handsome / strong / six packs 六块腹肌 / (sun-)tanned skin 古铜色的肤色 / sun-bathe 日光浴 / burned skin 晒伤了的肤色

形容Character:

smart / clever (常用于小孩、动物) / intelligent 富有智慧的 / wise 明智的,睿智的 / generous / humorous / have a sense of humor / open-minded / kind / nice / sweat / easy-going 好相处的 / flexible 灵活的,容易适应环境的 / out-going 外向的 / sociable / communicative / frank / extroverted / introverted / optimistic / shy/ keep everything to himself / self-conscious 过于关注自己的 / self-centered 自我中心的,自私的 / sensitive 敏感的(不贬义) / over sensitive 过于敏感的(贬义)

(4) University / College / School:

① reputation ② history ③ unique teaching methods

(二) Independent Task — Pair Choice:

1. 一般的问题形式:

(1) Do you agree or disagree … ?

(2) A or B. Which one do you prefer?

(3) Do you think it is good to …? / Do you think we should …?

2. 一些回答方式:

I believe…

I agree with the idea of …

I don’t think…/I think…

I agree that it is important to…

I disagree with the idea of…

I feel…

I support the idea of…

If you ask me…

Some people might say…, but I think…

It depends. In some cases …, while in other cases …

(三) Integrated Task — Dialogue-based RLS (Reading, Listening, Speaking):

1. 概述:

内容:Campus Based

Reading: 一个问题(有时有解决方法)

Listening:一个人解决该问题的意见,以及理由(150-180字,100秒时间)

Speaking:题目一般会如此要求,如:the student gives her own opinion about the best way to solve the university’s money problems. Say what her opinion is, and summarize the reasons she gives.

30秒时间需要完成的任务:(1) speaker的main idea (2) 理由(一般是两个) (3) 陈述的结构

2. 注意事项:

  1. 主要考的是summarize
  2. 结合读到的与听到的说,以听得为主
  3. 不可以加入自己的观点

(四) Integrated Task — Lecure-based RLS (Reading, Listening, Speaking):

内容:Academic Issue

各个阶段需要关注的内容:

Reading:

  1. Main Idea
  2. Technical Terms 专业术语

Listening:

  1. Main Idea
  2. Example
  3. Figures (Numbers) & Time
  4. Reasons:because / since / for / as a result / as a result of / therefore / so / thus
  5. 转折:but / however / yet / though / although
  6. 强调、递进:and / also / furthermore / besides / in addition / expecially / remember
  7. 比较级、最高级:the most / the best / the newest / the lastest
  8. 建议句型:Why don’t you … / Why don’t I … / Why not … / Why should we/you … 表示不应该做某事 / Why shouldn’t we/you … 表示应该做某事 / You’d be better off doing … / If I were you, I’d … / If you were in my shoes, …
  9. Technical Terms

Speaking:

  1. Main Idea:In the lecture/According to the lecture, the professor talks about/provides us/tells us …
  2. Supporting Details

两种题型:

1. 二元正负题:

Reading:关键句中有并列对称的中心概念词(一般为动词)

Listening:有对关键句的态度(支持 / 反对)

Speaking:围绕二元

2. 描述举例题:

Reading:关键句对于文章标题进行描述,没有对称的动词

Listening:更多地重复关键句,重点听举例(Case Analysis)

Speaking:Definition+Example

(五) Integrated Task — Dialogue-based LS (Listening, Speaking):

内容:Campus Life

各个阶段需要关注的内容:

Listening:

  1. Problem Description:The problem is … / My problem is … / I need help with … / I can’t figure out … / I can’t understand … / I have difficulty/trouble/problem in … / I would like to do … but …
  2. Suggestions / Solutions:一般给2到3个,用建议句型(参见(四))

Speaking:

Template:

  1. Problem Description (Topic / Issue):
    In the conversation, the man/woman has a trouble in …
  2. Suggestions(听力中给出的建议,此部分在回答中是否需要视题目而定):
    The man/woman offers several solutions: one is …, another one is …, the third one is … (最好不要用诸如besides等词来连接各个建议,要清晰的表达出建议的个数)
  3. I think … is better, because …
    In my opinion, …
    In my point of view, …
    As far as I am concerned, …
    I believe … is a good solution, …
    I support the idea that …
    理由可以从正面讲,也可以从反面讲(另几个建议行不通)

常用拖延时间的用语:

well / you know / I mean / as a matter of fact / in fact / basically / it’s a kind of/sort of / if you look into another way / let’s put it in this way / it’s a good/complex question

(六) Integrated Task — Lecture-based LS (Listening, Speaking):

内容:Academic Issue

主要考summarizing the key information,不要带个人观点

各个阶段需要关注的内容:

Listening:

  1. Main Idea
  2. Details & Examples

Speaking:

  1. Main Idea
  2. 2 – 3 Levels (summarizing)
